PREFACE

It is a great honor to present the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Marine Sustainable Development and Innovation (MSDI 2025), organized by Nha Trang University from July 25-27, 2025. MSDI 2025 provided a platform for the international exchange of new knowledge and achievements in the fields of Marine Sciences and Innovations. It also fostered collaborations among leading academic scientists, researchers, and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Marine Sciences. The conference received the participation of over 280 attendees, including representatives from academic institutes, universities, and industries from 10 countries. The proceedings of MSDI 2025 has been published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES). The conference attracted 57 papers that were presented covering six main topics: (i) Marine Mechanical Engineering, (ii) Marine Aquacultural Engineering and Technology, (iii) Marine Product Engineering and Technology, (iv) Fishing Engineering and Technology, (v) Marine Innovations, and (vi) Special Topic. Alongside the excellent paper presentations, the conference featured four distinguished keynote speakers who have expertise in the conference's topics. We would like to thank the keynote speakers: Prof. Sang-Rai Cho from University of Ulsan; Prof. Trang Si Trung from Nha Trang University, Vietnam; Prof. Masakazu Okazaki from Niigata Institute of Technology, Japan; Dr. Huynh Van Vu from Nha Trang University, Vietnam. We extend our deepest appreciation to all the committees for their contributions to the success and smooth operation of the conference. We would also like to thank the authors for submitting their articles for inclusion in the IOP proceedings series EES 2025. We are confident that the MSDI 2025 proceedings will greatly benefit and contribute to the promotion of Marine Sustainable Development and Innovation.
