    Giới thiệu sách
Traditional festivals are both typical cultural characteristic and indispensable need in the thoughts and daily activities of all Vietnamese. Festivals are considered by Vietnamese as a manifestation of their cultural behavior towards nature, the Gods and the community. Each person can find for oneself the freshness of youth, the inspiration of art, and the basic and native emotions as they voluntarily join the festivals. Festivals are also one of the motivating sources inspiring arts. Festivals demonstrate a mixture of different cultures evolved in all historical processes, while at the same time preserving, nurturing and developing various cultural traditions of the communities and the nation alike. Hanoi is an ancient city, which originated from a small village by the Nhi River. Surviving thousands of years of national development and fighting against invaders, the city of Thang Long - Hanoi has become a sacred land hosting a variety of cultural festivals. Hanoi festivals represent typical urban and rural features, which are overwhelmed with tradition and originality. As such, Hanoi festivals are both various, rich and attractive to a great extent. Hanoi boasts thousands of festivals throughout the year, spanning from the first to the last lunar month, and ranging from the Ba Vi mountain peak to the romantic West Lake. Over the time, these festivals have deeply rooted, converged and spread all the cultural values in the ancient and sacred land, and become an integral part of the one-thousand-year- old Thang Long - Hanoi.
