The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party
of Vietnam is a highly significant political event for both
the Party and the nation. It takes place at a time when
the world is undergoing profound, epoch-making changes,
bringing a mix of intertwined opportunities, advantages,
difficulties, and challenges. After 40 years of Renovation
(Doi Moi), Vietnam’s stature, potential, position, and
international prestige have been raised to a new height.
The Party’s role, leadership, and ruling methods have
been continuously innovated and enhanced. Guided
by the motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline -
Breakthrough - Development,”, the Congress determines
the mindset, vision, and strategic decisions for Vietnam to
firmly advance in a new era of development, successfully
achieving the national development goals by 2030—when
the Party marks its 100th anniversary (1930-2030)—and
realizing the development vision by 2045, marking the
100th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic
of Vietnam (1945-2045).
